The Microsoft Modern Workplace – Steven DeQuincey
What is digital transformation? What is transformation from Modern Workplace? Andy who does it matter? Microsoft Technical Architect Steven DeQuincey shares the Microsoft vision.
Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Yammer: When to use what – James Mallalieu
The right digital tools connect and support employees, wherever they are, to encourage productivity, engagement, and collaboration. However, with so many apps included as part of Microsoft 365, many organisations are finding it challenging to understand where each one fits and how to describe them to their user communities.
In this session, we will explore the core Microsoft 365 apps, demonstrate practical use-case scenarios and provide clear guidance on the language to use when communicating to the wider organisation.
Empowering user with effective app governance – James Mallalieu
Put simply, governance is about setting things up so people can be their most productive selves in a safe and secure environment
In this session, we will explore the key governance decisions that impact core Microsoft 365 apps including SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams. We will discuss pros and cons along with the impact to the overall user experience.
Security and Compliance for Microsoft Teams – Neil Hobson
Now used by more than 500,000 organisations, there’s little doubt that Microsoft Teams has grown significantly over the last two years and is the hub for teamwork to bring people together. While it is improving workplace collaboration and driving digital transformation, what security and compliance considerations does a deployment of Microsoft Teams bring with it?
In this session, we will explore how you can use the security and compliance features of Microsoft 365 in your Microsoft Teams deployment. Using practical use-cases, we will look at scenarios involving how to govern access to Microsoft Teams, help protect against threats, help prevent data loss and protect data.
Windows Virtual Desktop – Mark Ison
With Windows 10 deployments on traditional hardware either completed or in full swing with almost all businesses, attention is now being turned to the virtual Infrastructure. Remote Desktop Services and Citrix are the traditional solutions, and while competent, the upgrade to support the latest operating systems is requiring large investments in new hardware. The Windows Virtual Desktop is due to general availability later this year to provide customers with an alternative, server-less, cloud based and potentially cost reducing way of delivering a shared or dedicated ‘true’ Windows 10 experience to remote or local users. In this session we will explore what Windows Virtual Desktop is, how it works and where it fits within the enterprise. This will include:
- Deployment and delivery options
- FSLogix containers
- Windows 7 support
