COVID-19 hasn’t stopped us. Being specialists in Microsoft 365, we’re well placed to continue working as a team, albeit with individual staff members working from home. And that means that we are still busy helping customers with business continuity challenges so that they can mitigate the effects of this unprecedented event. So below are a few resources that you may find useful.
COVID-19 lockdown-related resources
The COVID-19 crisis has resulted in organisations everywhere identifying a need to accelerate Microsoft Team deployment and adoption. However, organisations are all different and are typically at different stages of Microsoft Teams deployment, often due to concerns about security and compliance, potential sprawl of teams or lack of IT resource. So where do you start?
Here at Silversands we have established a process to suit the needs of every organisation with the goal of rapid deployment and we are actively applying that now, with recent success at:
The Royal British Legion – 1900 users enable in 3 weeks
Connect Plus Services – 600 users enabled in 3 weeks

As many organisations race to extend usage of Microsoft Teams, for many workers this may be their first experience of the chat, meeting and collaborative features of Teams. There are plenty of online resources available, but our experience shows that people learn best from other people.
So Silversands is offering Microsoft Teams Quick Start Sessions hosted by one of our Teams experts. For more details of how this works download our 1-page PDF overview.

Covid-19 company statement
We continue to monitor closely all developments regarding COVID-19 and to follow guidance from The UK Government and The National Health Service. We are taking all appropriate steps to support the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers, partners and the wider community, and to underpin business continuity for all our customers and partners. We have augmented our Business Continuity Plan and associated procedures, and as part of our phase of preparedness, we have taken additional precautions. These include provisions for all employees to work from home so we can maintain business as usual across all our business areas. Employees will make use of our existing remote and virtual meeting infrastructure to conduct internal and external meetings. We are committed to ensuring minimum disruption to the operations and delivery of services. Our existing flexible and remote working policies and practices mean that we are already well placed to allow for sustained home working arrangements and business continuity, including restricted office access and re-allocating employees across the business should that be necessary. We continue to test these procedures actively as part of our BCP. We appreciate the situation is changing rapidly and remain fully committed to supporting public health and maintaining our business operations to the highest standards including mitigating any disruption via alternative or updated plans where necessary. We will provide further information as appropriate.
