#13 Exchange Online roadmap – Ignite announcements

At its Ignite 2019 conference, Microsoft made many announcements as expected of course, including a number of announcements regarding Exchange Online improvements. It then followed this up with a blog posting that detailed some of these improvements – you can find that blog post here.

Among the announcements were features regarding some interesting improvements:

  • Support for ‘plus addressing’ – a way of creating disposable email addresses
  • Send from SMTP proxy address – rather unsurprisingly a way to send an email from an SMTP proxy address!
  • Message recall – a cloud-based version of the Outlook client feature
  • Reply-all storm protection – intelligence in the cloud to temporarily block people from replying to all members of a conversation and hence reduce the impact of reply-all mail storms

If you keep an eye on the Microsoft 365 roadmap, you may have spotted that some of these feature improvements have made their way onto the roadmap. Here are some of those:
